Introducing the RG405V, one of Anbernic’s largest vertical GameBoy-inspired handhelds.
Powered by Android and pre-loaded with the Google Play Store, the RG405V provides access to a vast selection of apps and games. Ranging from beloved retro classics to newer titles and possibilities.
Continuing from the RG505 and RG405M, the RG405V establishes a new benchmark for vertical Gameboy-style handhelds, setting itself apart with a bigger body and display. With a crystal-clear 640×480 IPS touch screen spanning nearly 9x7cm, it surpasses the screen sizes of its predecessors—the 351V at 8×6.5cm and the 353V at 7×5.5cm.
While its larger size may not lend itself to pocketability or smaller hands, the RG405V prioritizes ergonomic comfort during gameplay. All buttons, including the shoulder buttons, are thoughtfully positioned for intuitive access and comfortable use, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Featuring hall-joysticks for precise control, the RG405V employs Anbernics Dpad, one of the best in the game. A prominent home button on the face grants easy access to settings or the main menu, while the ABXY buttons sport a glossy finish that may remind you of Skittles ;-).
We dont include the stock no-name card, instead we provide an upgraded local brand name Lexar 128GB games card with your RG405V.
What games can the RG405V emulate?
Powered by the T618 chipset, shared with other consoles like the RG505 and 405M, the RG405V excels in emulating a diverse array of retro consoles including Dreamcast, Gameboy, Gamecube, N64, PSP, and a selection of less demanding PS2 titles.
Notably, games from platforms like Gameboy, N64, PS1, and SNES perform well on the RG405V, with the unit’s size reducing hand cramping compared to smaller consoles. With a more powerful 5500mAh battery you can expect more playtime between charges, lasting up to 9 hours.
The RG405V supports app and game downloads from Google Play. Additionally, you can stream games from your PC through the 5.4GHz WiFi connection ensuring gameplay around the home.
For quiet play, the headphone jack is conveniently located on the base of the device and while it doesn’t have a HDMI port, the RG405V supports screen casting that will vary in experience depending on how demanding the game being played is.
